Feb. 2019 - May 2022
Design Engineer
U.S. Technical Consultants, Inc.
Developed finite element models, using Femap, and performed classical hand analysis to substantiate the installation of structural components such as interiors and primary structural modifications. All analysis and FEA models showed compliance to all applicable FAA regulations including 14 CFR 23.561 and 25.561.
Generated, 8110-3 FAA DER approved, engineering orders for interior installations, primary and secondary structure modifications, and primary and secondary structural repairs.
Created engineering drawings for installation, assembly, and sheet-metal parts using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Authored the structural substantiation for the installation of a UHF and 433 MHz antennae onto the skin of a Beechcraft C90 using classical hand analysis and obtained FAA DER 8110-3 Structures approval showing compliance to 14 CFR Part 23, Subpart C and D.
Mar. 2019 - Present
Teaching Assistant for Aerospace Structures Lab
California State Polytechnic University Pomona
Supervised and instructed students how to use several test equipment such as the Shimadzu AGS-X 300kN, Test-Resources 810 LE, and MTS Hydraulic Static/Fatigue test systems to accurately collect data for 3-point and 4-point bending, buckling, shear, and fatigue tests.
Authored the test procedure for a True-Structures™ strain gauge experiment which consists of a small-scale wing, linear and rosette foil strain gauges, and load cell equipped jack-screw mechanism.
Generated introductory SolidWorks lesson plans and worksheets for students to follow online via YouTube or Zoom lectures.
June 2015 - Aug. 2015
Intern
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory
Channelized equipment, including pressure transducers, cell voltages, vacuum gauges, and thermocouples, on a Solid Oxide Electrolysis experiment test panel.
Designed and 3D printed test panel parts along with prototype flight hardware models for the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover using SolidWorks.
Developed a faster and more reliable equipment rental checkout system using Microsoft Access in order to keep track of lab equipment and tools loaned to other engineering departments.
